A Maritime Training Corps Cadet Unit

Training Ship Active MTC have a marching band which meets to practice on a Sunday Evening at the Royal Naval Association Club in Aston Road, Waterlooville between 19:00 and 20:30. One of the bands main regular events we take part in each year is the Remembrance Sunday march at Bletchley Park near Milton Keynes.


TRAINING SHIP ACTIVE, A MARITIME TRAINING CORPS UNIT, ARE A SELF FUNDING, NON MOD SPONSORED, INDEPENDENT NAVAL CADET UNIT WITH A MARINE CADET DETACHMENT, FOR 8 TO 18 YEAR OLD YOUNGSTERS, BASED IN ST GEORGE'S CHURCH HALL IN WATERLOOVILLE, HAMPSHIRE. WE MEET ONCE A WEEK ON A WEDNESDAY EVENING BETWEEN 18:15 AND 20:30, AND ANYONE WHO WOULD LIKE TO BECOME A CADET IN OUR UNIT IS WELCOME TO COME ALONG ON OUR PARADE EVENING AND SEE WHAT WE DO, OR CONTACT US FOR MORE INFORMATION.

Apart from the regular parade evening on a Wednesday and band practice on a Sunday, the unit also take part in a number of visits to other units, weekend camps, summer camps, day visits to local attractions, and take part in various other functions at various locations.
